My Potato Sac Storyboard Idea

The scene for my potato sac's story starts off with him walking past a vending machine. Just whistling along, he notices the machine, becomes ecstatic and rushes over to it. Then he is shown putting change into the machine and proceeding to press his selection. After no response from the machine he becomes frustrated waving his arms in anger. In an upset manner of frustration he presses the button repeatedly and fast. Still nothing happens. He looks down into the slot where you grab the snack, stands back up and scratches his head. Goes to look back down into the slot when BAM the candy bar nails him in the head and he is shown falling over while the candy bar flies through the air, rendering him unconscious.

Potato Sac Ideas

#1--The potato sac is shopping at a grocery store and cannot reach an item on a high shelf. So the P.S. throws one of his potatos at the item up high or does something to get this to fall of the shelf. Only once he catches this item and is satisfied he get a surprise when a second item topples off the shelf knocking him out for the comical ending.

#2--The sac is at a vending machine getting a snack but the machine won't give him the snack after putting money in. He becomes frustrated and presses button angrily. Still nothing so he bends over to look at the place where the snack comes out and either 1 of 2 things happens--a pile of the snack rushes out burying him or just a single snack flies out, hitting him in the head and he gets knocked unconscious.

#3--The potato sac is walking on a tiled ground when suddenly the floor starts falling out from under him. Underneath that is just sky. The P.S. begins running but ground catches up to him and he falls only to have himself inflate with rushing air becomin a sort of parachute.

#4-- The Potato sac is in a vehicle of sorts and cannot reach the pedals, so he proceeeds to place a potato on the gas pedal. This conflict is solved for the animation but then once the gas is pressed turns out the car was in the wrong gear and he possibly crashes through a wall or the garage door or anything in relation to those events.

#5--The sac is at a bowling alley and goes to get a bowling ball but since hes a cloth sac he can't grip the ball and drops it on his toe. This is my least processed idea and so I am not sure how he deals with this.

Robotic Motion Project Ideas

Scene 1: Very close up shot of the plain box with the main gear attached. It gradually begins to spin.

Scene 2: Shot of next gear or next couple gears moving into position and beginning to move.

Scene 3: Next several gears move in, all of them are intertwining and rotating.

Scene 4: Eventually scene comes to other side of plain box, where theres a gear peeking out of the box, gears end up conecting with it and rotate it.

Scene 5: Box begins to rumble and ...I am reworking my idea for the rest of the model now to involve a walking motion into the animation like Bonnie was sayin in class today so it's to be continued.

3-D Animation "Animoptics"

This first project has me a little unsure of what exactly I want to do with my animation seeing as how I have never done an animation in 3-D before. I have 2 images displayed here only because I like them both and have 2 different ideas to go with the images.

For this first one with the plaid, it just seems to say "Christmas when you look at it, so my thoughts are to compose a wonderful Christmas melody to play along with this image.

This second picture with it's darker tones gives off a deep aura like the dark ocean. It has different values and depths just like the waters around our planet. Some sort of sound effects supplementing this image I think could be made into something unique.

Project#3--Photoshop Editing Exploration--Digital Imaging

These images were more of a practice in different photoshop techniques than making a very in depth meaningful work of art. My ideas and sketches i felt really showed in the final images so I would say they turned out really well.

Project # 2-- Narrative--Digital Imaging

These images were done in Corel Painter and I was trying to display different emotions through narrative scenes. The challenge was trying to tell the story without really wanting to portray figures or beings within the picture.
Anger

Depression

Fear

Insignificance

Tranquility
